A while ago, I found myself on Lebanon Church Rd with an all-consuming urge to hunt for two rare things: the Werner Herzog edit of “Striking Distance” rumored to be submerged in the stone-cold fry vats of the abandoned food court at Century III, and the very-out-of-print first St. Dude EP. The Herzog “Striking Distance” search was a clever upstart of an attempt to be, uh, nebby. But know that we love you and will forever feed off your high-calorie blast furnace particulates.

The second part of my quest proved to be far more difficult, as the debut St. Dude EP was never released on any physical format in the first place. The St. Dudes got wind of my predicament and blessed me personally with this collection which now graces your ears. It was as rewarding as the time Sienna Miller called it “shitsburgh.” It was as rewarding as being confused for Kurt Angle. It was as rewarding as playing Excuses to 35 disinterested chairs. And here it is, Insecticide by St. Dude.
